Terms of reference “TOR” Position: Community Care Worker General objective of the position The social worker identifies and refers children at risk and/or victims of violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation within the activities in the Program. S/he is responsible to plan and deliver child protection activities Main task: 1. Supporting the needs of at-risk children • raise awareness on child protection • Coordinates with CP-WCH to prepare topics for awareness sessions • Identifies at-risk children and arranges referrals • Provides the Child Protection officer with information regarding the available services and organizations operating in program areas” services mapping” • Participates in the monitoring implementation of the activities of child protection in projects. 2. Administration tasks • Develops and maintains a filing system of attendees • Formulates monthly reports on referrals, awareness sessions, child protection. • Report any concern pf safeguarding and\or PSEA to the POC. Knowledge and Experience • Degree in social work or related field • Good knowledge of child rights and child protection including child protection principles. • Good understanding of psychosocial support • At least 1 years of relevant experience working with children/refuges/vulnerable populations Skills and Competencies • Strong inter-personal skills • Strong communication skills • Fluency in Arabic • Flexibility • Cultural sensitivity
